Dear readers… I have something very extremely amazingly special to share with you today.

It’sss… a completely free guide to all things Bookstragram, BookTok, and generally bookish on social media! Oh, and it’s a complete 75+ page book, too, and it’s available for you to download right here, right now.
In this guide, you’re going to find tons of information on how to build your Bookstagram and BookTok accounts, how to gain a following on Bookstagram and BookTok, and even how to get and read books for free (like ARCs)!
Other key points in this guide include:
- How to create a Bookstagram account
- How to create a BookTok account
- Best practices for building a bookish profile on social media
- Tips for taking bookish photos and videos
- How often to post on Bookstagram and BookTok
- How to (actually) gain followers on Bookstagram/BookTok
- Every way to get books, ebooks, and audiobooks for free
- An ultimate guide to entering and hosting giveaways
- Information you need about ARCs (advanced reading copies)
- An in-depth guide to writing and posting book reviews
- Steps to creating your own book blog/website
In addition, two extra PDF downloads can be found inside this book, including:
- A 4-page Bookstagram Content Planner (that’s printable!)
- A 4-page Book Review Guide (also printable!)
Plus, there are multiple copy and paste templates you can use for writing giveaway posts, requesting ARCs from publishers and authors, and more.

Essentially, I tried to make a list of questions I used to have when it comes to Bookstagram and BookTok, and then I ended up making an entire book to answer all of them. And, honestly, as an author… I’m well-experienced in making books, so it wasn’t too difficult for me to put this all together for you all.
Some of the questions I try to answer in this book include things like…
- How do we get followers on bookish social media?
- How do other Bookstagrammers post such attractive pictures all the time?
- What can we do to make a posting schedule and stick to it?
- How do other Bookstagrammers and BookTokers receive so many ARCs?
- How can we actually write and post book reviews on social media?
- How do other Bookstagram accounts host giveaways so easily?
And, honestly, when it comes down to it, getting your start on bookish social media sites (like Instagram and TikTok) isn’t as hard as you might think. Sure, it can take some work to stick to a posting schedule and gain a lot of followers, but it can be done. In fact, I like to think that today’s day and age is the easiest time to gain followers online… so, take advantage of that!
Now, for this downloadable guide, you can certainly print any or all of the pages–but that will limit your ability to directly visit any links mentioned on those pages, so keep that in mind. You may also be able to take notes directly in the book, or highlight certain sentences, if you open this book with a PDF editing app.

Hint: When you open the book, your device will probably open it in an editor automatically, so look for an editing button (it might look something like a pen, pencil, or highlighter icon) and try to write on the pages!
Again, this book covers literally everything when it comes to Bookstagram and BookTok, and it’s a wonderful resource for everyone to use–whether you’re new to bookish socials, or you’ve been on Instagram and TikTok for a while. There are tons of tips and templates for you to use… so, check it out!
You can also certainly share this guide with others so long as you do not reproduce the guide in any part for sale. This is a free guide for all, but it is still copyrighted in such a way that prohibits reproductions for sale.
In the future, I may decide to create and share more guides like this (I’m thinking of possibly an in-depth guide to making bookish blogs…), so stay tuned on that front! Plus, if you’re interested in getting your hands on even more free reading resources… click here!
Feel free to leave a comment below if you absolutely love this guide… and leave a link to your own Bookstagram and BookTok accounts, too, so we can get in touch!
