What all is included with a Premium Membership?
The Canvas Academy Premium Memberships include full access to our Premium Courses Library. Within our library, you will find 100s of hours of painting classes and courses. Plus, members can download digital materials that are attached to most of these classes, like “sketching” files, full painting workbooks, and other printable painting resources (like future reference sheets).
Premium members can also get painting assistance and help directly from artist Kari Lynn M. through e-mail. Members are also invited to share samples of their paintings through e-mail to be featured in our member gallery—coming soon!
What do I need to join classes on Canvas Academy?
Aside from a Premium Membership, you’ll need just a few simple painting materials to complete the Premium classes offered by Canvas Academy. You don’t need any expensive or fancy painting items, though—really!
Generally, you will only need a medium roundhead brush and acrylic paints in red, blue, yellow, white, and black to complete most classes. All other materials may be items you find around your home—such as a butter knife to mix your paints and a paper plate to mix paints on. Even having watercolor paints are optional because you will learn how to make your own watercolors out of acrylics!
Will my membership price ever increase?
No—your premium membership price will never increase once you sign up to be a member!
Our price for new members is currently discounted by 50%, but this offer will not last long. Be sure to sign up for a membership during a discount period to lock-in your lowest monthly price possible. The monthly price you pay upon signing up for a a membership is the same price you will pay each month thereafter.
Does the Premium Membership come with one-on-one painting assistance?
All premium members get access to one-on-one help with painting-related questions via e-mail with our lead artist, Kari Lynn M.! Kari will work to reply to member questions within 48 hours, whether it’s to help you understand the basics of color theory or to assist you in downloading class materials.
Members are also invited to send photos of their beautiful work to us via e-mail, and we may feature member artwork in our future member gallery.
Does the Premium Membership subscriptions automatically renew?
Yes! All of our Premium Memberships renew automatically each month, so you’ll never lose access to the Premium classes of Canvas Academy so long as your payment on file remains valid.
Is there a free trial I can try?
While we currently do not offer free trials of the Canvas Academy platform, there are plenty of free-for-all painting classes you may try to see if our Academy is right for you. Check out our free library of classes (with new additions added frequently) for all levels of painters here!
What devices can I watch the Premium painting classes on?
You can watch any of our class videos on any Wi-Fi enabled device, whether it’s a laptop, smartphone, tablet, or even smart TV!
Most classes come with downloadable and printable materials, which you can download on any device that supports PDF viewing. Most smartphones, tablets, and computers support this, and you should be able to print class files from any of these devices, too, if you have a printer available to you. If you don’t have a printer, don’t worry—all classes have options for you to paint with us “printer-free”, too!
Do the painting classes offered change each month?
Our entire Premium Canvas Academy library stores all of our previously-published painting classes and courses for you, as a member, to enjoy as many times as you’d like—and our classes never expire. To keep things fresh for you, we also publish and share many new classes each month!
Can I be updated when new classes drop?
Yes! All Premium Canvas Academy members will receive communications via e-mail about upcoming new painting classes and alerts as they become available. And, if you’d rather opt-out of receiving e-mails, you’ll be able to do so by clicking the “unsubscribe (to e-mails)” link at the bottom of any e-mail sent by Canvas Academy. We never share your e-mail or other information with anyone, and we want you to have control over your own painting journey, including how you receive communications from us here at Canvas Academy.
How many classes can I access with a Premium Membership?
All Premium members of Canvas Academy have full access to all of our painting classes and courses, which you can always preview here with our online library. Currently, Canvas Academy offers over 100 full hours of Premium video content with more being added each and every month!
