The 4th Book of the Emma Lenford Series… Is Here!

Fellow readers and homedogs and avid reading homedogs… I’m super pleased to announce that the fourth installment of the Emma Lenford series, titled What’s Luck Got to Do with Emma Lenford? is here!

Come and happy dance with me, everyone!

Now, before we get into all of the retailer links so that you can download this fine piece of work (or, at least, I’d like to think that’s what it is)… well, let’s go over the series as a whole. Because, after all, there are 3 books that preface this one, and, if you’ve never even heard of the Emma Lenford series, we’ve got some major catching up to do.

Catching Up on the Series

First, in the beginning, there was a 17-year-old girl… and her name was, if you didn’t already figure it out, Emma Lenford. And she had some… um, very extremely horrible bouts of bad luck. I mean, really, anything and everything that could go wrong in her life… well, did go wrong in her life. And, no, we’re not talking about having a bad hair day every day of your life–try, like, being thrust into very potentially extremely dangerous and life-threatening situations every day of your life.

Like the description of the series says, “She’s constantly kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and even arrested for things she honestly didn’t even do.”

I mean, seriously… your luck can’t get any worse than that, can it?

And, if you’ve had yet to read the very first book of the Emma Lenford series… guess what? You can get it completely free in both ebook and audiobook forms!

Just click/tap the button below to sign-up to receive your free (again, I stress that it’s totally free–no strings attached!) copy, and then get started reading today.

Among the things that befall poor Emma Lenford in the first book of her misadventures include…

  • Waking up in a deserted Wisconsin woods surrounded by masked members of a family witch-gang at three a.m. on a school night
  • Becoming captured by a deeply demented elder alongside the one member of society that she probably despises the most
  • Giving an impromptu lip-syncing to Cher on stage in front of hundreds just to escape the clutches of a satantic cult

And, of course, so much more… but we can’t give away any spoilers, so sh!

Then comes books #2 and #3 in the series, in which… well, Emma’s daily life doesn’t get any less traumatic. Again, no spoilers, but, seriously, it doesn’t.

Among the events occurring in book #2 (know to us all as ‘What the Luck, Emma Lenford!’), we see Emma accidentally failing miserably at her driver’s licensure exam, accidentally participating in the exorcism of a stranger, and accidentally causing intense bodily harm to a fellow co-worker at her first job.

Key word here: accidentally. Because, yes, Emma is realizing, at this point, that her life is defined by many, many unfortunate accidents.

But then, in book #3, Emma tries to take hold of her own life for, uh, once in her life. Because, as she comes to believe, karma is a very real thing… and, if she can try to perform a myriad of good deeds for other people, then, in the sense of cosmic karma, good things will come back to her… right?

Well, when those “good deeds” include finding a freshly deceased body in the middle of the woods during a routine community litter pick-up party, taking over a field trip bus full of unruly middle schoolers after the bus’s driver passes out and drives the bus into a river, and volunteering your body for a scientific drug experiment that involves, as a side-effect, a lot of diarrhea… Emma starts to second-guess if trying to receive good karma is really worth it.

That is, of course… until we encounter a major twist at the end of book #3.

All About Book #4

Now, again, we don’t want to overshare and spill any spoilers… but, seriously, what happens at the end of book #3 changes everything, and it’s a change that defines book #4 completely.

Starting off right from where book #3 left off, book #4 takes us into very foreign territory for Emma Lenford. Foreign territory that is… a “lucky” life.

Notice the quotations there, though.

And, as I set off my personal dry evil laugh in the background… you may read the official description for this newly released book below!

Some people just don’t know how lucky they are. Including Emma Lenford, who’s just lucky enough to vomit on international television, win a trip to Wisconsin’s worst-kept vacation hotspot, and even find out that she’s related to some very infamous faces.

Despite her newfound “luck”, Emma struggles to find a way to gain control of her life. She’s fully convinced that she’s been somehow cursed, and she has to figure out how stop the tragedies that keep befalling her before they get a little too out of control. Although, once you’ve been trapped and tortured via the ultimate atomic wedgie in a goat barn decorated with severed human body parts, maybe things have already gotten too far out of your control.

Emma Lenford is truly the unluckiest 17-year-old on the planet. She keeps her sense of humor, though, through this series of seriously ill-fated situations. Her life is basically a sit-com where one traumatic thing after another befalls her, and it’s all out of her control. She’s constantly kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and even arrested for things she honestly didn’t even do.

Follow her as every supposedly lucky adventure turns south in the fourth book of the series that makes us all wonder, “what’s luck got to do with Emma Lenford?”

Again, do you hear my distant evil voice laughing in the background (it sounds a lot like the voice of Miranda Lively on the audiobooks of the series, FYI…)?

Now, if you’re ready, fellow readers… check out the next installment of the Emma Lenford series with me!

And, of course, I want you all to stay tuned for the next book in the series, which will be in the works soon! I just have to, you know, rest my typing fingers for a little bit before I hop into drafting that one… do any other writers get sore fingers from typing so much every day? Anyone, anyone?

I also want everyone to stay tuned for the release of the audiobook version of this book, which will be coming soon as well!

Until then, though…

–Kari 🎉
