Hello friends… and welcome to your one-stop shop for better sleep!
Although, honestly, it’s not a “shop”… because, here, it’s all just free resources. I mean, really, I personally love using mental health apps, videos, etc. when I need to take a time out from stress and such… but, come on, the prices. Like, seriously? How much do I need to pay to live anxiety-free?
So, that’s what inspired me to make these totally free mental health resources for you all… in the forms of pre-recorded sleep stories, no less!
Now, if you’re new to the world of “sleep stories”… think of them as stories that “grown-ups” can listen to when we need a little help relaxing and falling asleep in bed. Of course, they’re kid-friendly, too… but they’re designed to help teens and adults visualize a calming scene that helps induce deep rest. So, no, there aren’t any tales of dragons and princesses and Shrek flying in a fictional world… but they’re still entertaining enough to help you bed down for the night.
Today, I’m sharing with you two sleep stories… because I couldn’t make just one, obviously. And these are called…
- The Campfire Under the Stars
- An Evening by the River in the Woods
Both feature real nature sounds, too, which are meant to help you relax as much as possible. I actually recorded the sounds myself, and I can tell you that they were really recorded by a campfire under the stars and by a river in the woods. Nothing automated–I swear!
Now, below, you’ll be able to play the videos of the sleep stories. They are both available on YouTube, so you may be able to turn your screen off if you subscribe to YouTube Premium. If not, you can always play the videos on your phone, then flip your screen face-down while you drift off to sleep–just be sure to turn off the autoplay feature on the video so that you don’t get woken up by another random video playing next. We don’t want that!
Happy sleep, friends!

Of course, if you enjoyed either or both of these sleep stories, please let me know! You can leave a comment and/or a like on either YouTube or here on this page below. I’m also interested to hear if you would like more sleep stories (with suggestions for story themes) or if you would like to hear longer stories since these are relatively short.
Until next time, though, homedogs…
