Welcome, fellow artist. Ready to learn how to paint eyes realistically?
Because, here, we have an amazing, full-length (and did we mention FREE?) painting class to share with you. It will take you from sketch to finish in creating an eye, which is the first “building block”, if you will, of painting portraits.
Watch the full class below, and scroll down to learn about what materials you’ll need to join in with the class.
“Eyes” Painting Class for Beginners
This class is short and simple, but you’ll be surprised by how much you can practice and learn in painting part of someone’s face.
Now, as mentioned in the class, eyes are the focal point of anyone’s portrait, so mastering them is key if you ever want to reach the point where you can paint someone’s full face. And reaching that point is easier than ever before when you join the “How to Paint a Portrait for Beginners” full course!
Just click below to learn more.
The “How to Paint Portraits” Beginners’ Course will take you step-by-step, through multiple classes over many hours, through making someone’s face entirely in paint. Get ready to find out how much you are capable of as a painter, and learn skills that will help you become the best artist you can be.
Materials Needed for the Class Above
Now, to follow along with the video “eyes” class above, you’ll just need a couple of key materials, like:
- Acrylic paints in white and raw umber (or black)
- One small to medium roundhead paintbrush
- A mixing palette for acrylic paints (or something like a paper plate)
- A paint mixing tool (such as a spatula, craft/popsicle sticks, or even a butter knife)
