Welcome, artists near and far… to the “artist personality quiz”! Ah!

Want to take the quiz without the video? Just follow along with the questions below, one by one.
1. Are you able to multitask?
We’re talking multitasking aside from just in the realm of art. Can you multitask well?
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into your personality as an artist.
A. Never, never ever!
You may be best suited to painting “al fresco” or “en plein air” to avoid distractions. And that’s just fancy talk for painting outside!
B. Absolutely, all the time!
You might just be someone who can multitask really well while painting. Try listening to a podcast or even watching a show (hey, it’s a great way to get caught-up) while creating art!
C. Only if I have to…
You’re probably best suited for listening to music while painting. You can handle a little bit of distraction, but just nothing too loud or instense!
2. When is the most relaxing time of day for you?
Again, think beyond just when you’re painting. When do you feel physically relaxed in your body and are, perhaps, the least stressed?
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into your personality as an artist.
A. Morning, all the way
Try painting right after you first wake up. Sure, you’ll need a minute first to go to the bathroom, have a bite to eat maybe… but, then, set aside 30 minutes at the beginning of your day for some art practice.
B. Afternoon, for sure
Try a painting session over your lunch break, if possible! If not, try to set aside time to paint right when you get home from school or work. 30 minutes is really all it takes, and you can certainly pause for a snack before starting.
C. Gotta be the evening or night
Try painting right before you go to bed, assuming you’re not too sleepy. Schedule 30 to 45 minutes and turn off your devices so you can focus on your art before bed time.
3. Which of the following color palettes do you find most appealing?
This one’s pretty simple: just look at the three answers below and pick what sticks out to you most!
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into what you should be painting next!
A. Reds, oranges, and yellows
The next painting you should try is… the classic sunset! You know, whether it’s on a tropical beach or over a field, use those bright, sunny colors to make it shine.
B. Tans and browns
The next painting you should try is… your favorite type of animal! Whether it’s your own pet or, say, wild horses and bears and birds… try capturing it in paint.
C. Pinks and purples
The next painting you should try is… a still-life of a beautiful flower bouquet! Pick some fresh flowers for yourself to “model” your work after, or just look online for some pretty reference photos of bright pink and purple flowers (you can do more colors, too, if you’d like).
4. What type of house would be your personal dream home?
Yep, this is a unique question, that’s for sure. But roll with me on it, and we’ll figure out how it relates to your painting in a moment.
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into your personality as an artist.
A. A cabin in the woods
Like the look of wood? Well, try painting on wood some timeāliterally, swap out boring old canvas (sorry, canvas) and try painting on wood planks. It’ll suit you!
You can find a lot of planks made for painting (and you can paint a landscape, portrait, or literally anything on it) in craft sections at a lot of different stores.
B. A mountainside French chateaux
Like the style of classic sophistication? Well, then your personality says you must love painting on classic canvasāyou know, the stretched canvas we paint all of our masterpieces on. Canvas is so versatile and can be hung on any wall, anywhere.
You might also enjoy trying to paint muralsāeither indoors or outdoors. Just give it a try!
C. A modern mansion overlooking the city
Modern, sleek, and stylishāthat’s you, right? Well, if so, then you should actually try painting on glass sometime. And, no, we don’t mean like stained glass… we mean painting anything you normally would on paper on either an old window or a glass jar.
Try painting simple flowers on glass to get you started (roses, sunflowers, or, really, anything). It can be tricky to paint on glass, but it can give you great results.

5. When it comes to watching TV, you are someone who…
Check out the three answers below and find what best matches your style. Then, we’ll find out what “schedule” might work best for you as a painter!
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into your personality as an artist.
A. Binge-watches all the shows!
You’re someone who can do great with “painting marathons”. Sit down some day and just go and go and goāpaint as much as you can, just like binging a show!
B. Only can handle one episode at a time…
You might be someone who likes to take things slow, and that’s okay. Just try breaking up your painting sessions into smaller, more manageable sectionsāwith lots of breaks added in. Maybe paint for 15 minutes, stop and have a five minute breather, and then come back to finish the last 15 minutes. Just don’t rush!
C. Can be just more of a movie person.
Well, you’re probably someone who likes to sit and invest a lot of time into somethingābut not necessarily every day. Just like you might have a movie night every weekend, you should schedule a painting night at least once every week. And make it countāspend at least an hour painting during that session, so you really get your practice in.
6. If you could have any vehicle, it would be…
This one’s just for fun, but pick any of the three answers below. After that, we’ll tell you what type of painting brush you are (like we said, just for fun!).
Choose an answer and click or tap to reveal an insight into your personality as an artist.
A. A colorful sports care
Ah, you’re just like a sleek, simple roundhead brush. You know, the small ones that come to a fine point for filling in small details in all sorts of colors? The one we use in every painting, every day, and can always get the job done? Yep, that’s totally you!
B. A classic SUV or truck
You’re so reliable, you’re just like a trusty flathead brush. You know, the rectangular-shaped ones that are flat on one side but can hold a lot of paint? The ones that know how to finish a painting with ease and grace? Totally you!
C. Anything… as long as I can decorate it myself!
Oh, you’re so different and unique, just like a fan brush. You know, the one that we rarely use but looks like a traditional handheld fan? Well, it may be the only one of its kind in a pack, but it sure can shake up a painting when we use it!
Well, that’s all for our artist personality quiz today. Hopefully, you all learned a little something about yourselves… and had fun doing it. Maybe we even inspired you here today… who knows!
Now, go forth, paint, and create.
