Eyes for Beginners Painting Class
Ready to start painting faces, fellow artist?
Because this is the first class you need to take when learning how to paint portraits. It’s simple and totally beginner-friendly (yes, really—beginners can paint faces!), and it’s going to teach you the ultimate building block you need for this type of painting: eyes.
Some materials you will need to take this class include:
- Acrylic paints in white and raw umber (or black)
- One small to medium roundhead paintbrush
- A mixing palette for acrylic paints (or something like a paper plate)
- A paint mixing tool (such as a spatula, craft/popsicle sticks, or even a butter knife)
- A water cup (for brush cleaning)
To take your skills even further, be sure to check out the full “How to Paint Portraits for Beginners” painting course, only on Canvas Academy.
