This is a full painting class in which we learn and practice creating 4 different types of flowers: coneflowers, tulips, roses, and lavender. All are fairly simple to make, and you’ll get creative freedom to fill your page or canvas however you’d like.

We also learn about a so-called “lazy watercolor” method, which is a GREAT method for beginners who aren’t yet used to working with watercolor. To try this method, you’ll actually need ACRYLIC paints and water. You can certainly use regular watercolor, too, if you’d like for today’s class—no problem!

Some materials you will need to take this class include:

  • One paintbrush
  • Something to mix paints with (such as paint spatulas, popsicle sticks, even a butter knife)
  • Something to mix paints on (like a palette or a paper plate)
  • A water cup and towel or napkin (for brush cleaning)
  • Acrylic paints in colors:
    • Red
    • Blue
    • Yellow
    • White

Learn how to make four types of watercolor flowers, all which you can replicate in any future paintings you make on your own. And, as always, enjoy, painters!
