Learn how to create a beautiful oceanside painting with just a few simple steps!

Some materials you will need to create this painting include:

• One flat-head paint brush
• One round-head or fan-head paint brush
• Something to mix paints with (such as paint spatulas, popsicle sticks, even a butter knife)
• A painting surface, like painting paper or a canvas
• A water cup and towel or napkin (for brush cleaning)
• Acrylic paints in these colors:
  • White
  • One tan shade (I suggest ‘Naples Yellow’ or ‘Flesh’ tone)
  • One blue shade (yes, ANY shade!)
  • One dark shade (may be brown, burnt umber, or black)

Today, we’re going to learn everything step-by-step, and you’ll be taught painting techniques such as how to create varied brush strokes and how to blend colors on the page. We’ll also go in-depth on how to mix your own paint colors!
