A Misty Waterfall: From the Jungle
Welcome to the jungle… where waterfalls flow. Er, at least that’s what we’ll be making in this intermediate-level painting class!
This acrylic class will take you step-by-step to create the look of a realistic waterfall on the hillside of a deep forest under a fiery orange sky. This class will challenge you to work quickly and use a variety of texture-building techniques, so we recommend taking this class after you’ve taken some of the other classes in the “Lovely Landscapes” course first.

Materials Needed
- Acrylic Paints:
- Yellow
- Blue
- Red
- White
- Raw umber, or black
- Burnt umber, or brown
- A mixing palette (or a paper plate) for acrylic paint
- One paint mixing tool (either a spatula, butter knife, or craft/popsicle stick)
- One small/medium roundhead brush
- One medium to large flathead brush
- One fan brush (any size)
