Back to Watercolor with Confidence Course

by Kari Lynn M.

Mistakes happen—and our watercolor paintings are no exception to minor mishaps. But when a so-called “mistake” happens while you’re painting, how do you react?

While it’s easy to blame ourselves for making “mistakes”, it can actually be even easier to turn what we think of as mistakes into more positive things. Part of this is physically shaping a “mistake” into something different on the canvas or page, but another part is re-framing how we look at negatives in our minds.

So, join our “From Negatives to Positives” Paint-Along, and find out how you can turn every negative in your watercolor paintings into a positive.

Materials Needed

Use any combination of brushes and paints you would like for this class—the design of colors is completely up to you. As your guide, I will be using acrylic paints that I turn into watercolors myself. To learn how to do that, check out our “How to Make Watercolors” video here.
