Back to Watercolor with Confidence Course

by Kari Lynn M.

Self-care and self-esteem may feel like big, intimidating terms—or they may feel irrelevant to us as artists. However, by practicing self-care and improving our self-esteem as painters, we can, in turn, improve every painting we ever create.

There’s a lot to talk about when it comes to self-care and self-esteem for artists, which is why this paint-along session is going to be lengthy and super in-depth. We’ll discuss everything from why self-care is important for us as creative people to specific steps we can take to feel great about ourselves and our work. Plus, we chat about how to avoid comparing ourselves and our artwork to others.

Materials Needed

Use any combination of brushes and paints you would like for this class—the design of colors is completely up to you. As your guide, I will be using acrylic paints that I turn into watercolors myself. To learn how to do that, check out our “How to Make Watercolors” video here.
