I’m Kari Lynn M., an independent artist who’s dreamt of one thing ever since I started painting: to share my art with absolutely as many people as possible.

And creating Canvas Academy was, probably, the best idea I ever had… because now I not only get to share my art with other artists, like you, but I get to see you create beautiful works of art, too.

I’ve had so many students come up to me and say, “Well, I can’t even draw a stick figure, so I’m never going to be able to paint.” Like, countless students. Hundreds, maybe. Sound like yourself at all?

However, I’ve actually taken comments and thoughts like that into consideration as I’ve developed classes and courses on Canvas Academy. And, as a result, I’ve shown so many students that, guess what, you can paint the Mona Lisa whether you think you can draw stick people or not! Because, after all, do we think good ol’ Leonardo di Vinci spent his time drawing stick figures… or did he just take some tips from others and focus on painting instead?

This is what has shaped my goal for every student that joins me on Canvas Academy, and it’s given me the chance to make so many of my classes as beginner-friendly as possible. I want my students to feel that painting is accessible for them, even if they “can’t draw a stick figure”, so we take everything step-by-step and never speed though anything. And the results always astounds every student!

So, as your fellow artist and guide here on Canvas Academy, I would love to see you in our classes and courses. As with all students here, I want to help you as best I can and watch you grow into the most confident painter you can be!“
