You guys–I have finally compiled a list of completely free, funny YA books that you can download right now!
All of the books on this list are in the young adult/teen fiction genre, but each one also belongs to a different sub-category, from romance to general literature and even paranormal fiction. There’s something for everyone–it’s just all funny, too.
Let’s have some free laughs, shall we?
1. Any Red-Blooded Girl by Maggie Bloom

“The last thing fifteen-year-old Flora Fontain wants to do is spend her summer vacation stuck in a tent with her overprotective parents. But since her parents trust her as much as they trust a cat burglar at the moment, Flora has no choice but to suffer through the boyfriend-less summer of her discontent from the back of a rented SUV–until fate tosses a sexy, sophisticated gypsy boy into her path.”
2. Curse of Genius by Taylor White

“Dori Woodsen is a shy, kind-hearted, polite sixteen-year-old who has a secret…she’s a genius, wanting only to live a normal life. But her life is far from normal.
Fearing separation from her best friend Becca, Dori vows since childhood to keep her intelligence hidden from the world–and somehow she succeeds. But things become complicated as she begins her junior year of high school.”
3. Almost Heroes by Joyce Greenfield

“High school senior Santana Harris’ parents want her to go to college, to prepare for her future, or—at the very least—to get a job so that she can figure out what life after high school will look like.
Santana doesn’t want any of that. Convinced that her art will allow her to win a scholarship to a prestigious school, she’s content to coast through her final year. Her parents give her an ultimatum: if she doesn’t win the scholarship, she’ll have to find a part-time job.
Then Santana and her friend spot a cat in a tree. After she saves it, a strange boy shows up to offer her a job. The kind of job that would allow her to work after school and set her own hours. The only catch? Her new boss thinks he’s a superhero, and he wants Santana to be his new sidekick.”
4. What Now, Emma Lenford? by Kari Lynn M.

“Waking up in a deserted Wisconsin woods surrounded by masked members of a family witch-gang at three a.m. on a school night? Check. Becoming captured by a deeply demented elder alongside the one member of society that you probably despise the most? Yep, check. Emma Lenford’s life hasn’t been this heart-stopping since she spotted Jon Bon Jovi’s tour bus at the local 7-Eleven.
Emma Lenford is truly the unluckiest 17 year old on the planet. She keeps her sense of sarcastic humor, though, through this series of seriously ill-fated situations. Her life is basically a sit-com where one traumatic thing after another befalls her, and it’s all out of her control. She’s constantly kidnapped, held at gunpoint, and even arrested for things she honestly didn’t even do.
So, what now? Giving an impromptu lip-syncing to Cher on stage in front of hundreds just to escape the clutches of a satantic cult? Bring it on, nothing new for Emma Lenford.”
5. Stars and Hearts by Candy J. Moon

“Yazmin is delighted when she lands a job in a theatre box office. On her second day at work, she jokingly challenges colleague Suki to a contest and they end up shaking hands on it. The winner will be the girl who finds herself an actor boyfriend first. Trouble is, Suki oozes confidence and Yazmin is painfully shy with men. Will she be able to overcome her shyness and win the crazy challenge?”
6. Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade

“Alona Dare–Senior in high school, co-captain of the cheerleading squad, Homecoming Queen three years in a row, voted most likely to marry a movie star… and newly dead.
Will Killian–Senior in high school, outcast, dubbed “Will Kill” by the popular crowd for the unearthly aura around him, voted most likely to rob a bank…and a ghost-talker.“
7. Sunflowers & Lavender by Melanie Hooyenga

“For seventeen-year old Emmy, art is life. She can’t believe her luck when she’s nominated to paint a mural for her town’s annual festival—until she finds out that Lucas, the best artist she knows and her art class rival, has also entered the competition. He’s beyond talented, but she can never forgive him for destroying her spring art project.
Oh yeah, and she used to be in love with him.
Emmy vows to win at all costs, but when she discovers the truth about Lucas, will she risk everything for a chance at love?”
8. Bearly Awake by D. R. Perry

“A charmed life just turned into an avalanche of problems.
Bobby’s the first in his family to have a shot at college, also the first to head north of Louisiana. An early snow calls his Bear to hibernate a week before finals, but he needs to pass or he flunks out of Providence Paranormal College.
Lynn went to college on the other side of the country to get away from the persistent curse of unpopularity in a small town. But, Lynn’s prickly personality has pushed everyone away again. At least, she’s at the top of her class.
Bobby needs help to stay awake and pass his exam, and Lynn discovers she needs companionship more than she knows. Lynn’s all set to transfer to a school back home, but Bobby thinks she’s his mate. Can he keep awake long enough to pass, and convince Lynn to stay?”

Looks like a great book list? I will go through some. They sound interesting! 🖤
