The Beach Chairs: Ocean Views
Take a seat and lounge on the beach in this lovely scene of the beautiful ocean…
Because, in this intermediate-level acrylic painting class, you’ll learn exactly how to recreate the look of two beach chairs overlooking the sea. We’ll focus on color mixing, especially how to mix the color of sand (which is tricky!), and applying paint to the page with a few different types of brushes.
Note that this class is for the intermediate painter, so be sure to take this class after trying some of the others in the “Lovely Landscapes” course.

Materials Needed
- Acrylic Paints:
- Yellow
- Blue
- White
- Raw umber, or black
- Burnt umber, or brown
- A mixing palette (or a paper plate) for acrylic paint
- One paint mixing tool (either a spatula, butter knife, or craft/popsicle stick)
- One small/medium roundhead brush
- One medium to large flathead brush
