Well, look at that. I started a blog… I think.

So, for my first post, I think it’d be best to explain what’s all going on here, right? So… first thing’s first.

Why am I doing this?

I have no idea. Well, I do, actually, but I don’t know how to put it into words. The closest I could probably get to explaining why I started a blog is… why not?

I like writing and I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now so I made this website on an impulse and now I’m second guessing myself but I’m still gonna go through with it because I can. So, there, haha.

Secondly… What kind of stuff is gonna go on here?

Hm… I’m not even that sure. I just said I started this on an impulse, so I wouldn’t expect a lot of planning from me at this point in time, haha. However, I did think up a few tags for my blog posts, and they are…

“Alright, so…” -A tag for pretty much any type of rant I have to give, or for that special type of story I might have to tell that I have to start with ‘alright, so”. (You know what type of stories I’m talking about…)

Personal PSAs -A place for me to post about things that I feel are important for everyone to know about, even if they are dumb or seem pretty unimportant in the grand scheme of things. Expect to get a good laugh anytime you come here.

“So, One Time…” -The tag that holds the key to my past; pretty much where any story I randomly remember from longer than two days ago and want to share will go.

Think About It, Though -The place for you to go if you want some food for thought or want to read something that’ll make you go ‘hm’ or ‘oh, yeah…’. Don’t expect any real deep insight on the meaning of life or anything, though, haha.

What’s Up Now, Homedog? -The category that encompasses every aspect of my life! If you ever wanna know what’s up with me or what I’ve been up to, this is where you’ll wanna go. It’ll probably be the most active tag, too, since I can post to it any time I don’t feel like really talking about anything.

Writing!!! -And, finally, the… well, the writing tag! The place to go if you actually wanna learn something from me. (Part of it will be my personal writing tips, the other half will probably be me sharing some important grammar rules because, as you’ll soon learn, I’m a total grammar freak.)

And… that’s all I’ve got for now. I’ll probably add more tags in the future as I come up with them or get more posts rolling out. I could always delete one or two of these, too… but that probably won’t happen. I’ll be sure to just add all of the tags to this post, too, so that I can get the links for the tags active, rockin’ and rollin’.

Another question… What actually inspired me to start this blog?

I just thought of this question because I also just thought of the answer. Honestly… I started watching sex and the city a few weeks ago and I’m in love with the character Carrie Bradshaw. She’s a writer (I can relate), her name is Carrie (Kari… yes, I can relate to that, too) and watching her sit down at her laptop every night with a cigarette to write her newspaper column made me want to try that out, too. And yeah, I know this isn’t exactly a newspaper column or probably newspaper material, but a blog is the closest thing I could get to that, so here we are.

And one more question, just for fun. (I’ll pick a random one off of Google.)

How many pillows do you sleep with?

One. Just one, flat and a little hard. Unless I’m sick with a stuffy nose or something, then I use two.

Okay, I think that’s enough for now. Hopefully I’ll be back later or tomorrow with another update and we’ll go from there… hopefully.
