Yay, another poem preview today!

This one’s called “Lost Limbo”… because that’s what it’s about or… something like that!

Anyway, here’s a poem I wrote to be published in Holding onto Stars tomorrow!

“Lost Limbo”

Please don’t make me go

Into the unknown

Please don’t make me go

Where I’ll be alone

You told me once

It was your home

You told me once

But long ago

Don’t make me go

—

For I have seen

The awful things

That brought you to

This wretched place

But even here

You’d say you’re safe

Because you said

The other world

Is a people’s game

—

But I don’t want to go

—

And you claim that here

Many believe

The things they preach

And you state that here

Many won’t leave

Until they believe

But what I cannot do

Is begin to believe you

—

And I don’t want to go

—

So tell me again

Why I must go

Please tell me again

Why I must roam

Among unfamiliar souls

Tell me once more

Why I should be

In a place without freedom

And a world full of peace

—

Please don’t make me go

Into lost limbo

---
