I painted the ‘Burgh! And I called it… “The ‘Burgh”!

This painting is on a little bit larger of a canvas that some others I’ve shared here. Although, standing at 11 x 14 inches, it’s also not the biggest I’ve done.

This picture I used in making this piece was (guess what) taken by my sister in law. I had a few different options to choose from at this view (down on the bridge and city), specifically a few in the daytime and just this one in the night. I chose, of course, the photo of the nighttime.

I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s just that I’m such a night person, but I love the look of cities at night. Myself, I literally live in the exact opposite landscape of a big, bustlin’ city… but I still love the look and feel I get from seeing all the lights late at night. Even driving through cities at night calms me like nothing else.
