(Hint: it’s another fish!)
Now, before I show you the full-on frontal view of this thing… you gotta prepare yourself.
I’m getting super into these resin layer paintings (check out this post to hear more about this, seriously, mind-warping process). I love the 3D illusion and the look/feel of thick glass. It’s something that I still get excited with when I’m done and can step back and go… “oh my gosh, did I just make that?”
So, this one’s called “Sunburst”.
And I think she’s my favorite so far!
This piece, again, is made solely with resin and acrylic paint. Well, also a bit of fake sand in the bottom of the bowl. And, of course, the bowl itself, which I bought.
But that’s not a real fish!
I just called it “Sunburst” on a whim. Because… well, it came to me pretty quickly, and I thought it sounded cool!
I took a lot of pictures for this one, too. But you can’t go overboard (haha?) with capturing a piece like this!
So, “Sunburst” is up for sale, right now, on my Etsy site! And, as with everything else on my Etsy, you can get 15% off of it with coupon code BLOG15!
Please, let me know what you thought/think of this one in the comments! Because I, for one, do love it.
I’ll be sure to post more resin pieces soon.
