Accomplishing writing goals

Oh, I’ve just got this amazing feeling from accomplishing a certain set writing goal and I absolutely do need the world to know it!

❤ ❤ ❤

(And, FYI, I’m still sick as a dog on caffeine… but I guess this big feeling of accomplishment makes the sinus headaches and cold sweats a little bit more tolerable.)

So, here’s what’s up… I’m currently working on my next big (hit, maybe?) novel, and I’ve got the bar set pretty high for myself after seeing the beautifully finished product that was my last story, Cartoon.

And so… well, I’ve got word goals, right? Like, word count and such, and… I’ve officially hit my halfway mark! Yay!

And I just wanted to share this accomplishment with y’all and… kind of share how glorious the satisfied feeling of fulfillment feels!

And writing goals are important, and I think it is very important that we remember that and take time to celebrate our accomplishments, whether big or small. Doing so is what propels us forward into our writing endeavors and gives us encouragement to do the most important thing of all: keep on going.

So, I really want to take this post as an opportunity to let you all share with me and everyone else around here your writing accomplishments and how they make you feel. Actually… it doesn’t even just have to be writing accomplishments, it can be anything!

I think this is a really good time and space to do this because it’s a great chance to help encourage and congratulate one another, so… come on down to the comments are share your personal progresses with me!

I look forward to hearing everyone’s stories of accomplishment, and remember… enjoy these exciting moments and keep on going!

  1. I post something every Sunday for a feature I call the “Sunday Slice.” A play on words…slice like the Sunday dish/news, but also slice is a tennis term (as in a slice backhand). And then I try to post at least one other post during the week. On a sidenote of just accomplishments…my human will be running her first half-marathon this weekend! I HUGE goal!

    1. Oh my gosh, I didn’t know that! I’ll have to check your recent posts out, then! (I’m awful at keeping up with everyone else’s blogs!) And whoa there… good luck with the running! Definitely not my expertise, but an amazing goal indeed!

      1. Yikes! Those sound like the worst of them all. I have a few family members that used to do a lot of marathons and off road running challenges, and it just looked brutal. Still, I hope you manage to run safely and finish super safely! ❤

It’s an incredible thing on its own, even without your bad cold, and I hope you’ll hit your goal soon. ❤
